1.  California Sea Grant Extension Specialist

Cal Poly and California Sea Grant is hiring a Research Scientist/Extension Specialist with expertise in Aquaculture to be based at Cal Poly in San Luis Obispo. Details can be found here.

We seek an interdisciplinary, applied marine scientist with experience or interest in conservation, management, and local issues in San Luis Obispo County and the California central coast, whose work strongly interfaces with aquaculture. We are especially interested in candidates who can build an outreach program based on applied research complementing Cal Poly and California Sea Grant Extension expertise particularly related to aquaculture. Preferred topic areas include pathology, ecotoxicology, offshore/in situ aquaculture, water quality and effluents, and aquaculture ecosystem services, but other aspects will also be considered.  The incumbent should be interested and able to collaborate with a range of Cal Poly marine faculty and regularly interface with local stakeholders, policymakers, and organizations as a representative of Sea Grant Extension and Cal Poly. Candidates with relevant and diverse expertise in other aspects of applied marine science that intersect with Sea Grant priorities will be considered. 2.  CDFW Aquaculture Program Administrator

For those qualified for California civil service in administration, the CA Department of Fish & Wildlife’s Aquaculture Program, under the direction of the State Aquaculture Coordinator, has an immediate need for a Program Administrator at the level of Associate Governmental Programs Analyst (AGPA) to help organize, coordinate, and conduct its administration.
