Winter Storm Reminders, Resources, and Reporting

Reporting Storm Related Damage Growers that have sustained damages due to these recent storms, need to report damages to the Sacramento County Agriculture Commissioner’s office with the Report of Loss Form.

Completed Report of Loss Forms may be hand delivered or mailed to either office below, or emailed to agcomm@saccounty.gov

The following information is needed to complete the Report of Loss Form:
1- For damaged crops:

Reporting Damage: Residence and Businesses To report damage to homes or businesses within Sacramento County go to: https://www.saccounty.gov/news/latest-news/Pages/How-to-Report-Property-Damage-From-Storms-.aspx

All information will be sent to OES and reported to State and Federal emergency response agencies. This is not the same a​s a report for insurance.

On Dec. 31, 2022, Sacramento County unanimously voted and approved the ratification of a local state of emergency. The proclamation authorizes the County to utilize additional services to help mitigate extensive damage caused by the storms. The County is in the process of damage assessments. 

Insurance companies may require a copy of the Proclamation of Local Emergency when residents submit an insurance claim. This document is available online.
